I’m not the best about following a workout routine. I always have the best of intentions, but with four boys, it seems like something always comes up. My husband and I enjoy activities like bicycling and kayaking and swimming… and we live in northern Michigan, where it’s too cold to do those things for half of the year. Our plan is to buy a bike trailer for our youngest (who’ll be just over a year old by the time the weather warms up) and try to get some bike rides in this summer – we’re fortunate enough to live quite close to some good trails that don’t allow motorized traffic. (I’ll still be sporting a huge orange flag off the back of the bike trailer, though – or daddy will be).

  2. Working out isn’t exactly my best thing, which is why I need to win this thing! I shoot for ten thousand steps a day, though, and it helps a ton!

  3. Every time you need something from either upstairs or downstairs, go up or down twice before going to the desired floor. No elevators, if preventable. Park at the back of the grocery store lot. Take the time to stretch everyday!
