About Me

LootCrateShirt-1Hi, I’m Tara!

When I first started blogging several years back, I was a recently divorced mom of three kids. My two youngest (at the time) boys both have autism, and I wanted to write about my experiences trying to raise my three boys as a single mom who was attending college full time and working as a tutor at that same college. Oddly enough, I found myself too busy to blog regularly, and instead posted sporadically as the mood struck me or I found myself with five uninterrupted minutes with nothing else to do. (In other words, pretty infrequently!)

IMG_20140112_154404I remarried in October 2012, and officially became a stay-at-home mom in March 2013. Dividing by Zero re-launched on WordPress in October 2013, and here we are!

My five boys are (as of November 2015) ages newborn, 2, 10, 15, and 19 years old. My husband is 10 days younger than me (and never lets me forget it!) For a guy who went from being a never-married childless bachelor to becoming a husband, father, and stepfather of three (including two special needs children), I’m willing to let him have his fun (and his “3% younger”).

I’m a PR friendly blogger – I love doing both book and product reviews. Click the “Reviews” tab up above to see examples of my reviews (the drop-down will let you sort between Book Reviews and Product Reviews). If you’re a business that would like to discuss a review/giveaway opportunity or are interested in hiring me for a sponsored post, feel free to email me or send me a message via the Contact Me form. 1. Hi Tara. My name is Alexa Nernberg. You sure are one busy gal. I’m glad to see you found a new love to share your life with. I think your family is very lucky to have you. I look forward to visiting your blog on a regular basis.

  2. congratulations on your success!

  3. Now that is spreading them out. You have a beautiful family. I know from working with several autistic children that they can be a wonderful blessing. It’s hard work but it sure sounds like you have a great handle on it.

  4. You are a very strong person, I admire your stick-to-it-ive-ness and your perseverance.

  5. Quite the fam! I have a dear friend who has 4 boys- the 2nd and 3rd being autistic like yours. She is so graceful in her view of life and its challenges- I admire her greatly!
